OUCO Gravity Luffing Arm Type Davit
Introduction
The specialized equipment designed for the safe launch and recovery of lifeboats or rescue boats from cruise or cargo ships.
Manufactured and tested with the approval of renowned classification societies such as ABS, CCS, DNV GL, our davit complies with the requirements of the 1983 and 1996 Amendments to SOLAS, 1974.
This hinged-type davit operates on the principle of gravity fall, eliminating the need for power from the ship. It is specifically designed for efficient embarkation when the boat is in the stowed position.
The davit offers two control methods. The operator(s) inside the lifeboat can conveniently lower and stop the lifeboat using remote control ropes or by directly lifting the winch's brake handle. Moreover, the electric-driven winch facilitates the smooth recovery of the lifeboat, including the launching crew. Operators on the deck have a clear view of the entire process, ensuring safe and efficient lowering and hoisting operations.
